Maya: Welcome to the Streaming Briefing for Monday, October fifth, twenty twenty-six. I'm Maya.
Devon: And I'm Devon. Lots happening this week, Maya. Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days kick off tomorrow, so let's start with hardware.
Maya: Right. If you've been eyeing Elgato gear, tomorrow and Wednesday, October sixth and seventh, is your window. The Stream Deck M K two studio controller is twenty percent off, the Facecam four K studio webcam is ten percent off, and the Wave D X microphone is up to thirty percent off.
Devon: That's a serious discount on the mic. The Wave D X is a dynamic X L R microphone that works without a signal booster, so thirty percent off makes it a real contender against pricier broadcast mics.
Maya: And for your studio camera dreams, Apple's Final Cut Camera app just got updated. It's free on the App Store, and the new version supports the iPhone eighteen Pro's variable aperture, puts white balance and I S O settings in easy reach, and adds Live Multicam.
Devon: Live Multicam is the big one. It connects up to four iPhones running the app into one synced multi-angle session. If you use iPhones as your stream cameras, that's four broadcast angles with no extra hardware cost.
Maya: Then on the budget end, there's the EMEET PIXY, a ninety-dollar P T Z camera that just topped a big streaming-camera roundup. Four K, dual-camera A I tracking, a three hundred ten degree pan range, and autofocus that locks in two tenths of a second.
Devon: Ninety dollars for all that is honestly wild. The catch is the same as with any budget P T Z: A I tracking can lose a fast-moving subject, so it's best for a fixed room and a predictable shot.
Maya: Software next. O B S Studio thirty-two point two point two is out, a hotfix that solves the bug where plugins failed to load the first time you launched after updating on Windows. Good news if you updated and watched your plugins vanish.
Devon: Two heads-ups buried in that release. On Mac, thirty-two point two now blocks macOS twelve entirely, so if you're still on twelve, stay on thirty-two point one point two. And N V E N C users need driver version five seventy or newer.
Maya: And Camo Studio two point eight point one brings multi-source audio mixing to everyone. You can now mix your microphone, your phone's mic, your computer's system audio, and audio from a specific app, all in a new audio tab. There's also a new scene background layer.
Devon: For someone running iPhones through Camo, that's huge. You get mixed audio from every source without a hardware mixer. The update also fixes a few audio glitches under Windows Audio Enhancements.
Maya: Onto platforms. YouTube is getting smarter about ads on live streams. The platform now holds back ads when it detects a spike in chat activity, so a hype moment doesn't get interrupted by an ad break.
Devon: And if a viewer buys a Super Chat, Super Sticker, or a gift, YouTube now gives that viewer a personal ad-free window right after. Also worth knowing: YouTube's Live Studio now supports multiple stream keys, and an official guide lists a coming limit of ten simultaneous streams per channel.
Maya: Twitch trimmed Affiliate video-on-demand storage to fourteen days. If you're an Affiliate, back up your highlights before they age out.
Devon: And Kick is still courting Twitch streamers. Verified channels get thirty days of V O D storage, while non-verified channels get seven. If you're testing Kick as a backup home, verifying is worth it.
Maya: Our twenty-four seven takeaway this week: between Apple's free four-phone Live Multicam and Camo Studio's new audio mixing, you can run multiple synced iPhone angles on the painting stream with mixed microphones, all with phones you already own. Prime Deal Days tomorrow if you want that Stream Deck to drive it all.
Devon: That's the dream setup getting cheaper by the week. See you next Monday.
Maya: See you then.
